COUTURE WEEK SPRING SUMMER 2017 by ThedailyPassarelle

Haute Couture week at Paris this year, was full with incredible designs, with an incredible amount of work into each design, some following a more traditional look, staying true to their classic style some other risking a little bit more with innovative ideas.

They were all certainly breath taking but here, ThedailyPassarelle will present you 3 of our favourites.

La semana de la alta costura en París este año, estuvo llena de diseños increíbles, con una cantidad impresionante de trabajo en cada diseño, algunos siguiendo un aspecto más tradicional, manteniéndose fieles a su estilo clásico, otros arriesgando un poco más con ideas innovadoras.

Todos fueron sin duda impresionantes pero aquí, ThedailyPassarelle te presentará 3 de nuestros favoritos.

1.CHANEL

A full mirror circular set, from floor to walls, giving a classy yet simple setting with a silveriness aspect seen trough out the entire collection, estabilising the collection as the focal point of the audience.

An 80`s classical Chanel clean silhouette, classical, elegant, polished, impeccable women as Karl Lagerfeld intended them to be, was exactly what was shown at this collection having the suits and dresses stealing the show

And off course the fabrics in every haute couture week leaving us speechless, the amount of work putted onto those fabrics was just mesmerising, with silver detailing with all sort of stones and one of karl`s favourites feathers all creating unbelievable patterns and stunning final looks.

Lily rose Deep modelled the perfect closing look, a puffy pinky dress, looking gorgeous and bringing all the collection together.

Un set lleno de espejos, desde el suelo hasta las paredes, dando un ambiente elegante pero sencillo con un aspecto plateado visto a través de toda la colección, estableciendo a la colección como el punto focal de la audiencia.

Una silueta limpia de los 80`s clasica de Chanel, una mujer clásica, elegante, pulida,impecable como Karl Lagerfeld pretendía que fuera, fue exactamente lo que se mostró en esta colección con los trajes y vestidos robando el show.

Y por supuesto las telas, las cuales en cada semana de la alta costura nos dejan sin palabras, la cantidad de trabajo puesto en ellas fue fascinante, con detalles de plata con todo tipo de piedras y una de las favoritas de Karl las plumas, todos creando patrones increíbles y un look final impresionante.

Lily Deep modelo el cierre perfecto, con un vestido rosado, abultado, luciendo magnífica y reuniendo toda la colección en una sola prenda.

2. ELIE SAAB

He is always impressing us with his skills on creating heavenly looking textiles, and this time it couldn’t be different, the embrace of femininity was the intended overall theme of the collection, reminding us that any women can be powerful and indeed goddess.

Always keeping a simple, elegant silhouettes letting us be stunned by the fabrics themselves yet this time he went a little bit more risky than it`s habitual looking dress, in some of his looks.

Siempre nos está impresionando con sus habilidades para crear tejidos celestiales, y esta vez no podría ser diferente, el acoger la feminidad fue el tema general de la colección, recordándonos que cualquier mujer puede ser poderosa e incluso diosa.

Siempre manteniendo unas siluetas sencillas y elegantes que nos dejan atónitos por los tejidos, pero esta vez fue un poco más arriesgado que su vestido habitual, en algunas de sus atuendos.

3. VERSACE

The phrase “less is more ” come across this collection?

Kind of, you are probably asking yourself why you haven`t seen an extravagant, amazingly looking Versace runway all over the internet this year, well the answer is simple, there wasn’t any.

But that does not mean, there was no collection in fact there was one, and it was one of the most innovative and stunning collections I have seen from Donatella until now.

They called it “the beauty of transformation” Donatella went for a more reserved and exclusive showcase of the collection, presenting 17 looks at her boutique in Avenue Montaigne at Paris. The transformation of knots, metal, one hundred and ten meters of Swarovski crystals, snakeskin, feathers and the traditional Versace pleats, were all the magic needed, that brought this dresses alive.

So, ¿ less is more ? She gave us less looks and spectacle yet more with those extremely worked dresses. Still it`s Versace and they keeps on surprising us every time more and more.

La frase “menos es más” se encuentra en esta colección?

Algo así, probablemente se deben estar preguntando porqué no han visto este año una pasarela extravagante de Versace sorprendiéndonos, por todas partes en Internet , bien la respuesta es simple, ni hubo.

Pero eso no quiere decir que no hubo colección de hecho, hubo una, y fue una de las colecciones más innovadoras e impresionantes que he visto de Donatella hasta ahora.
La llamaron “la belleza de la transformación”. Donatella se fue por una forma más reservada y exclusiva de mostrar la colección, presentando 17 looks en su boutique en la Avenue Montaigne en París. La transformación de los nudos, el metal, ciento diez metros de cristales de Swarovski, piel de serpiente, plumas y los pliegues tradicionales de Versace, eran toda la magia necesaria, para traer a estos vestidos a la vida.

Entonces, ¿menos es más? Ella nos dio menos atuendos y espectáculo de igual manera nos dio más con esos vestidos extremadamente trabajados. Aun así es Versace y nos sigue sorprendiendo cada vez más y más.
